They all have a mission to locate the parts of the battered Jewel of Four Souls which is a very potent jewel and previously was sneaked out inside the body of Kagome. Also, they have to make sure that the bad forces don’t use the pieces for their advantage, especially Naraku, the wicked, half – demon who had been responsible for Kikyo’s death, about half a century before Kagome emerged.
